Moon Phases with Oreo Cookies

In science lab this week, we created the different phases of the moon using Oreo cookies. Thank you Mrs. Clausen for a wonderful, hands-on science lab!

Second Graders LOVE Amelia Bedelia and Idioms!

 

 

 

 

Second graders came to school last week dressed as an idiom.  So you may see a "ballgown" or a "quarterback" or "piggytails".  Can you find "made of money" or a "straw hat"?  How about "raining cats and dogs" or a "blessing in disguise"?  Can you figure out all the idioms?

100th day fun AND author visit from Mike Thaler

What a fun and busy last few weeks!!! We had a great time celebrating the 100th day of school on Monday, Jan 26. We enjoyed engaging activities and games!

Today, we had the honor of meeting well-known author of the Black Lagoon books, Mr, Mike Thaler. He is an excellent story teller and illustrator.
