Hello parents, have you ever wondered what your sweet children will be doing in ten years? We’ve been thinking and writing about ten years from now. Come check out these precious writings in our hall. Check them out before we change out our hallway work as we prepare for our annual Mixon Fincher Day! Mixon Fincher Celebration day will be on February 9 and we would LOVE for you to come as we celebrate your child’s writing and illustrating accomplishments! See you then!

WEDNESDAY- Wacky Patterns ( wild, wacky patterns- tops and bottoms)

THURSDAY- Neat-o Neon ( neon colors)/Jeans ok.

FRIDAY- Super VIKING Spirit Day ( Viking wear)/Jeans ok.

** Campus Club- Community Outreach~~~ Bring in donated items needed for Campus Club ministry.

Happy New Year and welcome back to school!  We hope that each of your families had a blessed holiday with your family.

Here are just a few reminders for the upcoming week:

• Spelling words for next week(Unit 13 words): hurt, car, sports, could, saw, which, back, good, be, great.
• Bible verse for next week:  Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love.  Ephesians 5:1-2
• Science-Next week, we will begin a new unit on "Light and Sound."  We will explore the parts of the eye and ear and also talk about shadows.
• Math-We will begin unit 5 in math on coins, counting up, addition and subtraction strategies, and number stories.

Upcoming Dates:

• MLK holiday-Monday, January 15th
• Mark your calendar-Callaway Gardens field trip will be Thursday, May 3.  We will need parent drivers for this field trip.
