Welcome to 2nd Grade!

We are off to a great start!  Please visit our blog often (mostly on Thursday evenings!) for our newsletters and other important information.

2nd Grade News April 24th, 2019

*We will not be sending home RED FOLDERS this week due to our field trip.  All papers will go home next Thursday.

*Friday (4/26) is a dress down day!

*All library books will be due on May 3rd.  Please try to find any that have been misplaced and return them ASAP.
This will also be the last day that AR points count toward our end of the year recognition.  We do not emphasize reading as a competition, but wanted you to know the last day the points are counted.
However, the students will STILL BE REQUIRED to take two tests each week because we are not finished teaching and learning!  The teachers have a wide variety of books in the classroom that can be read once the library is closed.  Thank you for encouraging our readers!

Bible Verse next week:  Titus 3:1  Be ready to do whatever is good.  Students will say the verse and reference on Friday.

Spelling:  Unit 24-see the attached link on the blog for these words if you want to get ahead.

Many thanks to all of you that are coming with us to Callaway tomorrow!

Field trip to the Go Fish Education Center

A few weeks back, we traveled south to Perry, Georgia to visit the Go Fish Education Center.  The students had a wonderful day of fishing, learning about fish and other animals native to Georgia and seeing freshwater and saltwater aquarium and exhibits.  It was a fabulous day enjoying God's creation!
