Today, all the second grade classes walked the school's beautiful nature trail with Mrs. Clausen. As we were on a scavenger hunt hunting for discoveries in nature, we used our senses along the way and enjoyed God's amazing creation!

Human Body
Our Second graders had a great time studying the human body! They learned so much about the heart, lungs, brain, and digestive system.

The students enjoyed making chest vests to help them learn about the heart and lungs.

The students also enjoyed acting out the digestive process with Mrs.Clausen. See if they can tell you what happens to a hamburger.

Map Project
Today your child will bring home directions and a special sized poster board for our first project! The children love learning about neighborhoods and communities, and this is a fun way to explore their surroundings. Here is a sample of a Community Map. Be sure to help your child read the directions and let them do as much as possible with your guidance. The projects will be due Wednesday, October 4th.
